Trade Expo Readiness and B2B Results: Baltic Missions in Beauty & Greentech

Overview

When a Baltic government trade agency launched two sector-specific missions to Japan—one focused on the Beauty sector, the other on GreenTech—CarterIGNITE was brought in to provide strategic and on-the-ground support.

The mission: prepare European SMEs for market exposure at Japanese trade expos while helping them build real commercial connections. We began by meeting with each company individually via online calls to understand their value propositions, competitive positioning, and goals for Japan.

This groundwork informed the development of pre-departure webinars, which equipped delegates with insights into Japan’s business culture, sector-specific insights and consumer expectations, and go-to-market considerations alongside expert Q&A. From there, we arranged targeted B2B meetings with Japanese distributors, manufacturers and partners, leveraging our business network to ensure relevance and fit.

Our team also attended both trade expos, providing business meeting facilitation on site—ensuring each company had the support to confidently navigate conversations and follow-ups.

Results

Delegates gained not only visibility and real-time learning, but also practical business leads and case studies on how European firms are establishing a presence in Japan. Several companies are now in active discussions with potential partners, moving forward with confidence and local insight.
